Qualification Description

The Advanced Diploma of Business reflects the role of individuals with significant expertise in either specialised or broad areas of skills and knowledge who are seeking to further develop expertise across a range of business functions. The qualification is suited to the needs of individuals who possess significant theoretical business skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational or employment opportunities. This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to determine key objectives and to develop an advertising campaign to optimise product or service market performance in response to an advertising brief.

BSBADV605 Evaluate Campaign effectiveness

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to develop and implement a campaign evaluation strategy to determine whether advertising objectives have been attained.

BSBFIM601 Manage Finances

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to undertake budgeting, financial forecasting and reporting requirements, and to allocate and manage resources to achieve the required outputs for the business unit. It includes contributing to financial bids and estimates, allocating funds, managing budgets and reporting on financial activity.

BSBINM601 Manage knowledge and information

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to develop and maintain information processing systems to support decision-making, and to optimise the use of knowledge and learning throughout the organisation.

BSBINN601 Manage organisational change

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to determine strategic change requirements and opportunities; and to develop, implement and evaluate change management strategies.

BSBMKG609 Develop a marketing plan

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to research, develop and present a marketing plan for an organisation.

BSBMGT615 Contribute to organisation development

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to contribute to the creation of an organisation development plan, which ensures that the organisation will become more effective over time in achieving its goals.

  BSBMKG603 Manage the marketing process

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to strategically manage the marketing process and marketing personnel within an organisation.

BSBMKG608 Develop organisational marketing objectives

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to conduct a strategic analysis to develop organisational marketing objectives. This involves reviewing the organisation’s internal and external environments, evaluating past and current marketing performance, and exploring and evaluating new marketing opportunities.

Packaging Rules

8 elective units must be selected, of which:

  • 6 elective units must be selected from the list , with no more than 3 units selected from any one group
  • 2 elective units may be selected from the units listed, from this Training Package or from any current accredited course or endorsed Training Package at this qualification level or Diploma level.

 

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
